About MoneyConverter.ai
Free Financial Tools,
Built by Someone Who Uses Them.
MoneyConverter.ai exists because I got tired of currency converters covered in pop-ups, calculators that hid their math, and finance sites that felt more interested in selling me something than helping me understand my money. So I built the site I wanted to use.
Who's Behind This Site
Why This Site Exists
Currency conversion shouldn't be complicated, expensive, or hidden behind paywalls. I built MoneyConverter.ai with one goal in mind: give everyone โ from a backpacker checking exchange rates in Bangkok to a freelancer invoicing a client in Berlin โ instant, accurate, and completely free financial data.
The web is full of finance sites that exist primarily to capture your email address, sell you a course, or shove affiliate links in your face. I wanted to build something different: a tool-first site where the calculators actually work, the explanations are written in plain English, and the editorial guidance comes before the monetization.
That's why MoneyConverter.ai will always be free, will never require a sign-up, and will never collect personal data from its users.
Our Editorial Standards
Financial information has real consequences for real people. A bad mortgage decision can cost someone tens of thousands of dollars. A misunderstood currency conversion can blow a vacation budget. I take that seriously, which is why every piece of content on this site follows the same editorial principles:
How I write and fact-check
- Original calculations only. Every formula on this site โ from compound interest to mortgage amortization to inflation adjustments โ is implemented from scratch using the standard mathematical formulas, not copied from another site or a third-party widget.
- Real data sources. Currency rates come from ExchangeRate-API. Inflation calculations use official Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI data. When a number on this site references a real-world rate, that rate is sourced from a primary provider, not a content aggregator.
- Plain-English explanations. Finance is full of jargon designed to make customers feel they need a professional. I explain concepts in the simplest terms possible without oversimplifying the math.
- Worked examples with real numbers. Where helpful, I show actual scenarios โ "Let's say you're buying a $400,000 home in Atlanta with 10% down" โ instead of leaving readers to plug in abstract variables.
- Transparent corrections. If I get something wrong, I fix it and note the correction. Reader corrections are welcome at tony@moneyconverter.ai.
- No AI-generated filler. Every word of editorial content on this site is written or carefully edited by a human. AI tools may assist with research, but final copy is reviewed and rewritten.
How the Site Works
Simple, transparent, and reliable โ here's what powers MoneyConverter.ai.
Enter Your Numbers
Type your amount, loan size, savings rate, or whatever the calculator needs. Every input field is labeled in plain language.
See Instant Results
Calculations run live in your browser โ nothing is sent to a server, and your data never leaves your device.
Read the Guide
Every tool comes with a written guide explaining how the math works and how to apply it to real-world decisions.
Always Up-To-Date
Live data sources are refreshed continuously. Editorial content is reviewed and updated as rates, rules, and best practices change.
Where Our Data Comes From
Exchange rate data on MoneyConverter.ai is powered by ExchangeRate-API, one of the most reliable and widely used financial data providers on the web. Rates are sourced from global forex markets and updated multiple times per day.
Inflation data is drawn directly from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index, the same dataset used by the federal government, economists, and financial planners.
While our rates are highly accurate for informational purposes, please note that actual transaction rates from your bank or money transfer service may include additional fees and margins. Always verify rates with your provider before making financial transactions.
Learn about ExchangeRate-API โHow MoneyConverter.ai Makes Money
Running a website costs money โ domain registration, hosting, data API subscriptions, and the time it takes to build and maintain calculators and guides. Here's how the site stays free for users while keeping the lights on:
Display advertising
Ad units may appear on tool and guide pages, served through reputable advertising networks. Ads are clearly labeled as "Advertisement" and are visually separated from editorial content. They never influence which products or services we recommend.
Affiliate partnerships
When we recommend a money transfer service, lender, or other financial product, the link to that product may be an affiliate link โ meaning if you sign up or make a purchase through it, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Every affiliate link on this site is marked with a disclosure, and we only recommend products we have personally researched and believe offer genuine value to our readers.
Editorial independence: Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content. If a product we recommend later turns out to be a poor choice, we update or remove the recommendation regardless of whether it costs us commission.
